Our tranquil ocean side retreat, overlooking a tidal reef, is conveniently located a 15 minute drive to the famous Moeraki boulders, a 40 minute drive to the historic town of Oamaru and just 10 minutes to Palmerston for shopping . Shag Point Retreat offers private gardens, a unique base for exploring and also a quiet respite “off the beaten track”. Close by a wide sweeping sandy bay. Or head to the Conservation reserve, a 10 minute walk - coastal views, seals and bird life abounds.

Spacious, comfortable and modern 1 bedroom unit with ensuite. A 2nd DETACHED room as an additional bedroom is available (see photo, fees apply) The cottage is equipped with microwave, stove top, toaster, kettle and basic utensils to prepare a simple meal. Private, delightful garden & decks facing the sun. Outdoor seating provided. Your well behaved, house trained dog is welcome to stay. The Royal Albatross Centre, Little Blue Penguins, Penguin Place, and Larnach Castle are 15-minute drive from the cottage. We are close to many beautiful beaches that host sea lions and seals. There are many great walks with scenic views. It is a self-contained cottage with everything you need for cooking and washing.

This is an entire apartment with views to the Ocean. It is cosy and quiet and only 5 minutes from Oamaru but set in a beautiful rural environment. A new kitchen, a cosy loungeroom and private courtyard with barbeque and separate entrance. Tea, coffee, milk and basic supplies in the pantry, homemade bread and a sample of our own honey . Breakfast cereals provided . You will love it. A pleasant garden and views top it all off....while being handy to town.

(SINGLE NIGHTS CONDITIONAL- You must bring your own linen or pay an additional $30.00) (We may not accept small bookings more than a week or 2 in advance particularly during peak periods) The open plan Studio Unit is in the heart of the picturesque fishing village of Moeraki with a great view of the harbour and the hills beyond. Internet not high speed. There are no shops in Moeraki...nearest superette in Hampden 5km to the north. We don't supply milk.

Buckley’s Retreat

We offer this unique tiny home with fantastic Ocean views. You can wake to the sunrise and watch the sunset at night all from your bed. We offer continental breakfast. Which includes eggs if the hens are laying. Outdoor spa, Complementary snacks and beverages. You may also bring your dog. 5mins drive to the centre of town. But have restaurants and grocery shops near by. Off street parking also. Just on the town boundary with a rural feel.

This fabulous little contemporary beach house is right across the road from the ocean. Stroll along the waterfront to Campbell's Bay surf break and the gorgeous sandy beach to All Day Bay. The Cube is the place to really relax and recharge enjoying the views and gorgeous sunrise and sunset. Chill out at home or get out for a surf or walk on the beach.
