Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

This house was built in 1904 which makes it one of the oldest (and coolest :) houses in Húsavík. Láfsgerði is by the ring road, highway no. 1 and easy to find. The easiest way is to type the name into MAPS and it will take you to the location. Láfsgerði is exceptionally well located in terms of day trips to all the most interesting places in the northeast of Iceland; Goðafoss waterfall is a 5-minute drive away Lake Mývatnssveit 20 minutes' drive Húsavík 30 min. Dettifoss 90 min. Ásbyrgi 60-70 min. Akureyri 40 min. Siglufjörður 1h and 40 min.

Country home 6 bedrooms in a beautiful landscape

The house has 6 bedrooms with two 160 cm beds, three 140 cm beds and one 130 cm bed. The kitchen is well equipped. There are two washing machines in the house and two dryers. There is a small stream in front of the house, and the house is located in a beautiful valley with a river. It takes 30 minutes to go to Húsavík, Myvatn, Dimmuborgir and it is 40 minutes drive to Akureyri. 10 people can stay in the house.

Nice and homie little room in a timber cottage, perfect to unwind and experience the calm and quiet countryside, we are very central to most attractions in the area, and a great location to spot some northern lights during winter. Very little light pollution is in the area. You have everything you need with a small kitchenette and a mini fridge. Full private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer

Cosy cottage in the countryside

Hvoll is a farm with horses, sheeps, dog and a cat. It is located in Þingeyjarsveit by road 854. It is a perfect location if you want to enjoy the countryside and visit some of the beautiful places in north Iceland, like: Lake Myvatn (30 km away), Húsavík (27 km away), Goðafoss waterfall (17 km away) and Dettifoss waterfall (68 km away).
