The Old National School is a Grade II listed house, nestled in the beautiful hamlet of Sampford Spiney, located within Dartmoor National Park. Dating from 1585, the house sits in an idyllic spot between the Church and picturesque Sampford Manor. Originally the Church hall, it became the parish school in 1887 until 1923. It was only in the 1960’s that it became a residential dwelling. With its varied history, the house is quirky, with its lovely spacious rooms hinting at its eclectic history.

The Dartmoor Den is a charming, newly converted annex that offers self catering accommodation in the quiet hamlet of Grenofen. Downstairs is open plan with a fully equipped new kitchen and cosy living/dining area, cloakroom/toilet and private garden. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with views across Dartmoor and an en-suite bathroom/wet room.

The Devon Coast to Coast cycle route runs past, which makes it the perfect spot for those looking for a base for their cycling or hiking trip.

The barn offers spacious accommodation including underfloor heating throughout, roll top bath, walk in shower, wood burning hot tub(logs included) and enclosed outside space. There are good walks from the doorstep and Tavistock with shops, pubs and restaurants is 2 miles away. Children and dogs are very welcome. The historic building (grade 2 listed) was recently refurbished to a high standard. Renewable energy sources: solar and biomass.
