Rustic getaway in the beautiful Litchfield Hills of Northwestern Connecticut featuring a 2-acre pond and access to 9 miles of unique hiking trails on 450+ wooded acres. Cozy 1700's farmhouse comfortably sleeps 4 adults in 2 bedrooms, with an additional kids room that has a fold-out double futon and loft with one double air-mattress, perfect for children's sleeping bags. There is a pull out sofa in the living room. Dogs welcome! The house is next to Norbrook Farm Brewery, which you can walk to.

Walk, bike, and hike the trails, ski Butternut and Catamount, rent a pontoon boat at nearby Twin Lakes, and explore the many great restaurants in Great Barrington and Salisbury. Immerse yourself in the culture. Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow and many theaters are nearby. When in season, you can pick fresh vegetables from the garden, fruit from the fruit trees, and berries from the bushes.

A quick 20-minute drive to Butternut or Catamount ski hills, as well as downtown Great Barrington. Tanglewood and Jacob's Pillow are a half-hour's drive. Or stay at home and enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding woods, light a fire in the woodstove, cook in the large fully-equipped kitchen or head out back to barbecue on the large deck and play a game of badminton in the yard.

Whether you are here to hike parts of the Appalachian Trail, stroll into town for a leisurely meal, enjoy Lime Rock Race Track or explore the many surrounding New England towns you can be assured you will always have a comfortable home to come back to!! My home is located just a 3 minute walk to the center of town and the historic White Hart.

Built in 1882, set on a hill with ample indoor and outdoor space (two kitchens!) overlooking the Housatonic River and the famous West Cornwall bridge, our fully stocked house is close to hiking, fishing, kayaking, skiing/snowboarding. 1890s home situated on the outskirts of town, entire second floor apartment. The apartment is bright and sunny and super comfortable with 2 bedrooms both with queen beds, 1 bathroom, eat in country kitchen fully equipped.There is a spacious living room with a smart Roku TV, (not cable ) WiFi and access to a private garden space, private entrance and off street parking. Walk to town , pizza and more. Great place to relax after a day of exploring Litchfield county and the Berkshires.

When you’ve had enough recharging, plan a backroad trip to endless possibilities. Tanglewood and Jacob’s Pillow are nearby via beautiful country roads. There are hikes for any level. Great restaurants, farmer’s markets and Guidos gourmet market just minutes away. Eat out or stay in with a cook’s kitchen and grill deck.

Greystone at Twin Lakes

Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this unique place. An old family home brought up to 21st century. Originally a 1790s tavern. Colonial door latches, wide board floors, narrow steep staircase. A short walk down our driveway leads to our camp with 300' of the west shore of Washinee Lake (West Twin Lake). We are 10 miles from Lime Rock Park and Racetrack, close to private schools, and nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Berkshires.

Blackberry Cottage

Enjoy our peaceful (pet friendly) home, just a short drive to the center of Norfolk. Great for friends and/or family visits. Board games, puzzles and books inside for all; fire pit outside. Front & side decks, are perfect for relaxing. Access great cafes, shops & cultural delights in Norfolk. The nearby Ellen Battell Stoeckel Estate hosts Yale's Summer Chamber Music Concert series. It’s a home, not a hotel. I think you’ll love it!
