Cheerful 3 bedroom cottage on the Allegheny River

We built the summer cottage in 2006, for a summer home stayed on. We lived in the cottage 8 years when we wanted a bigger house. We love it year around. We are isolated with 3 neighbors (not close) and the river at our front door. Good boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming , hiking, bird watching (with a eagle nest across the river). December through February, it is best if you come with 4 wheel drive. Having said that , we keep the road plowed and the hill sanded.

House On Cedar Beach

Walk out of the house and walk on to Cedar Beach! Our house is the only one situated directly on a public beach in the City! It is located on the bicycle path, and is two blocks from the Dunkirk Lighthouse, as well as Point Gratiot Park. There are lake views from the living room, kitchen, sun room porch & 2nd floor master bedroom. There are cathedral ceilings on the entire 2nd floor. The sun porch has a seating area for 4, where you can have your morning coffee and gaze onto the beach & water!

Away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind, Lakeview Cottage is a four-season cottage located on the beautiful grounds of The Camp at Findley, a 501(c)3 non-profit, Christian Camp. Secluded along the banks of the Slippery Rock Creek is the 4th generation family cottage, fully renovated in 2017, originally built in 1940. Descend the 45 steps to the cottage and find “there’s no place like (a 2nd) home”. From the wraparound deck you may see geese, deer, bald eagles, osprey, beaver, great blue heron and ducks. You will find yourself just 15 minutes from Moraine and McConnells Mill State Parks. 15 minutes from Mines and Meadows, 10 minutes from Sunset Ranch.

Multiple beaches on the point. Please Note: The beach area in front of the house changes every season based on the weather and tide from the winters.

Enjoy life in a vintage beach house right across from dog-friendly Cedar Beach on Chadwick Bay! It’s fully-appointed for your comfort and enjoyment! Follow the walking path across the street to visit historic, haunted Dunkirk Lighthouse (seasonally) or explore the 60+ acre Point Gratiot Park. See the glorious sunrise from the private second- floor deck and grill out back on the oversized deck. Please note that the power plant across the street is no longer operational

When you arrive, you will find yourself nestled between Lake Erie and Chautauqua Creek on 7 forested acres with access to Lake Erie. On the beach you can spend time hunting for beach glass and driftwood, or take the half-mile walk along the beach to Barcelona Harbor.
