This home is set up like a duplex with owners occupying the top (we do have 3 young children) & guests having full, private access to the bottom half. Guests are given a private garage & back yard w/ free firewood. Private entry gives access to 2,200 sq ft of private space that includes a 3 seasons room with gas fireplace, laundry, and full kitchen. 1 open room, one private, and one partial room with no windows. Close to the bike trails, beaches, mini-golf, etc. Happy to answer any questions!

Relax by our private 20-ft beach, and have a fire while you watch the sunset! This cozy home comfortably accommodates up to six guests, making it perfect for families or friends seeking to get away. Our property's excellent proximity to town ensures that you can easily explore and enjoy all the local attractions, dining spots, and shopping areas. Close to everything!

Wizard's LOTR Cottage and Treehouse! Pet Friendly!

Our LOTR-themed Wizard's Cottage, along with our LOTR Stargazer treehouse, are on 2+ acres, & have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." Our home is about 200 ft. from the Cottage & far from Stargazer (back of the acreage). Greenery provides privacy. Enjoy our hot tub & Mordor -(dare to open the "Mor Do[o]r")! We are solidly in farm country; 2 miles from lovely Cedar Lake; Soo Line Trail has hiking, biking & snowmobiling; park & bar in walking distance. Diversity is welcome.

Guesthouse available for more than 6 guests at $100 per night $50 per stay additional cleaning fee. It is 3 season. RV electrical available. Pontoon for rent. No water in guest house October 17-April 15.

Fairy Lake also has a large public beach across the lake. Sauk Centre has three golf courses & a 6-screen movie theatre downtown. Sauk Centre has great bar & grills, fun downtown shops and the 510 Art Lab. Great Parks & in July we celebrate Sinclair Lewis days. SC has murals painted all around town by local artist.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Your stay includes access to more than ten kilometers of trails traversing hundreds of acres of private woodland originating steps from your door.
