Come visit and go back in time. The child- and pet-friendly Blacksmith is located in The Village between the Whiskey Still and the Smokehouse. Nearby is the Woodshop, Cider Mill, Shingle Mill, Victorian Cottage, and Train Depot. Originally owned by George Carney, the Village was built to house craftsmen selling their wares. We are 36 miles from Fort Leonard Wood and 15 miles from Fugitive Beach! The gorgeous 54 acres provides plenty of space to explore the beauty of the Ozark highlands.

Close to antique stores, several restaurants, shopping, and that small town charm-offering a modern and updated space for you & your family and friends to relax & unwind, after kayaking, canoeing, fishing, or just exploring the hidden treasures of Midwest Missouri.

Cozy cabin and RV Park

Our peaceful cabin is out in the country yet very close to town. Just 2 miles off interstate 44. Close to shopping, restaurants, Fort Leonard-wood and Missouri S&T college campus. Traveling nurses are always welcome, just 2 miles from phelps County Medical Center! We also offer three RV spots with water and electricity if you’re traveling with someone who has an RV. If you’re traveling with horses, there is a horse hotel on premise, offering stalls or Paddock for layovers.

The Ab Shack Country Getaway

The Ab Shack-a country getaway in the heart of the Ozarks. Surrounded by acres of picturesque landscapes, the renovated cabin offers a retreat like no other. There is a creek meandering through the property, large porches perfect for viewing sunrises and sunsets and a fire pit for relaxing under the night sky. As a working cattle farm cows and calves will be there to greet you. The cabin sleeps 7 and includes 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, modern kitchen and gas fireplace.

One large room has 1 queen bed, a futon, and we can add a folding twin bed if needed. Full bathroom with shower and sink. Fullsized fridge with freezer, electric cookstove with oven,big screen TV with netflix, Hulu, etc. New Serta mattress, new hardwood floor, Fast WiFi, Close to town but no neighbors, private entrance. Close to the highway, Off road parking space close to the door. Well mannered pets welcome, ill mannered humans not so much.

Enjoy the simplicity of the outdoors at this peaceful and conveniently located apartment. Out of town but 1 mile to the city center. Enjoy dining in or try out one of our great restaurants in town. Bring your camp wood to enjoy the evening around the fire pit or get some exercise in the detached gym. If you prefer, cuddle inside to view YouTube TV which is available on 2 TVs. Our goal is to make your time comfortable!
