This first floor room looks over the front of the building. Enjoy the historic main bedroom of the original cottage – but with all the modern comforts you expect. Please note that the room is over the Snug which is vacated after 11 pm.

James Hill - Four poster with balcony / family

Enjoy this romantic first floor en suite hotel bedroom that faces the front of the building. Double doors open onto a charming Juliet balcony that lets in plenty of New Forest morning sun. The king-sized pine four-poster bed is hand-carved, making this an ideal room for your romantic getaway. This room also suits families with children, but please be mindful there is a Juliet balcony so extra vigilance is required with smaller children!

Exbury - Romantic 4 poster room with balcony

Enjoy the morning sun in this delightful New Forest bedroom with small lounge area. This romantic room has a balcony looking towards a small green at the front of the building. Lie back in the amazing hand-made bed, which is made from a 200-year-old oak that fell in a storm on a New Forest farm. The 4-poster was hand-crafted for Cottage Lodge by designer and artisan Rob Dyer.

Brusher Mills - Four poster King size

Unwind in this characterful room with furniture including open-fronted wardrobe and table made from Ash, plus a hand-made four-poster bed created from Silver Birch and Oak. All the furniture is hand-crafted by New Forest designer and artisan Rob Dyer. This rear-facing room gets the afternoon sun and is perfect for a romantic getaway. This room is not dog or child friendly.

Gillies Holt - Romantic four poster / family

Hide away in your first-floor room, which is at the rear of the hotel and has its own external open staircase. It’s ideal for romantic couples, but also child-friendly for families with children of any age. Sleep in a silver-grey, king-sized, four-poster bed made from Devon pine from sustainable sources. Mind your head, though, because the room has some sloped ceilings!

Rufus Stone - Double room with garden view

Rufus Stone a charming and comfortable double room with garden view. Perfect for a short break away for single guests or couples. The accommodation includes a comfortable 5ft wide and 6ft 3-inch long king size bed and is at the rear of the property sharing our cottage garden. Level access and with a compact en suite shower room, this room is ideal for all our guests.

Treat yourself to a stay in this front-facing romantic ground floor four-poster bedroom. The room is constructed from local Douglas Fir and has bamboo flooring. Your king-sized four-poster bed is made by the designer and artisan Rob Dyer from a beech tree felled in Brockenhurst village. This is one of the most sensual rooms you will find at our New Forest hotel.

Morant - Twin or double dog-friendly with patio

Relax in this cosy ground floor en suite room which has its own entrance door and is situated at the rear of the hotel. Luxuriate in the four-poster bed, which was specially made from a single Ash tree by New Forest designer and artisan Rob Dyer. It looks beautiful and smells amazing.
