Gunnu Hús by Meðalfellsvatn ( Our lakeside cottage nestles at the foot of Medalfell mountain and the garden leads right down to the lake. The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

Good location for day trips to Snæfellsnes and the Golden Circle. During the winter time is a good chance of seeing the Northern lights (Aurora Borealis).

From Reykjavík, please take the second Route 460 entrance. The final 3.5 km is a typical Icelandic countryside gravel road. If using the first Route 460 entrance, the gravel section is about 7 km. Please note: For bookings of 3 guests, the third guest will use the comfortable single bed in the living room.

Cosy cabin located on a farm only 20 minutes from Reykjavík!:) on the way to the golden circle which offers room for 4 people. Come and stay at our farm and visit our wonderful animals. There are also fun experiences around our farm such as a lot of beautiful hiking trails, horse riding and more. Very good for families. It's a very good location to plan day trips from. If there are northern lights you can see right outside the door.

Excellent location--only 45-minutes to Reykjavik and Thingvellir National Park. Close by to Glymur Waterfall and many great hiking paths. A GREAT PLACE FOR WATCHING THE NORTHERN LIGHTS. For summertime visits (July), we have bug sprays available for the no see ums (Lúsmý) as well as window nets.

It has a simple but well equipped kitchen, electric heating and shower. It is ideal for groups of 4 or 5 but can accommodate up to 7 guests if utilizing the double sofa bed in the living area.
