Hidden in glorious listed parkland, a mile from town, is the fabulous Llanerchydol Hall, with its gothic turrets and castellations. There are specimen trees here-Sequoias, Cedars, a Dawn Redwood and a Japanese Garden. Hear the steam train, hooting at Powis Castle. Walk Glyndwr’s Way. In the winter, it is the owl’s domain. Views from the top of the tower are extraordinary over the Severn Bridges and the Breacon Beacons (NB we call this the terrace in our description below). Unique, luxurious, quirky yet comfortable.

Princess Elizabeth Cottage is a charming and carefully restored, 2-bedroom cottage that sleeps 4 guests in 1 king size double room and 1 twin room, with 1 family bathroom. The cottage is a semi-detached (alongside Lady Jane Grey), two storey property with a fully-equipped modern kitchen and a spacious living and dining area that leads out to a private courtyard with seating. Upstairs are two comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms and a modern bathroom with a fixed shower over a bathtub.
