Set in the Slieve Blooms Mountains a real get away from it all, wake up to birdsong and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. Surrounded by fields, trees there's plenty to do for an outdoor break. Slieve Bloom Bike trails and hiking tracks all within minutes. Mid Ireland base for onward touring. Portlaoise, Tullamore and Roscrea less than 30 minute drive. Kilkenny under an hour. Cork, Shannon and Dublin airports under 2 hours. Ideal base for biking or walking groups to explore the area.

If desired, we are delighted to guide you through the house and share with you almost 200 years of our home's rich history. Roam freely through our 120 acres of gardens, farmland and woodlands, or enjoy a guided tour of our grounds and learn of present day efforts to transform our land into a nature reserve.

The Lacka Lodge - Kinnitty

Nestled within the Slieve Bloom mountains, Lacka Lodge is new to the market and has recently undergone complete refurbishment. It is situated on the grounds of our family home where peace and tranquility come naturally to this area.Kinnitty is in the heart of Ireland and is little over an hour from Dublin and Galway. It is a day trip from all other cities. Locally you can enjoy fantastic walking and mountain bike trails which are only one minute away and also lead you to Kinnitty Castle.

Tom Rocky’s Farmyard

This old farmyard has undergone a beautiful restoration. The open space & scenery all around here is stunning, with the Devils Bit mountain as a backdrop. It is a really peaceful spot. There is a large, enclosed yard space and an open shed area with lights & seats, and a roofed kids play area. The old market town of Templemore is a 4 min drive, boasting a beautiful town park with woodland walks & a lake. We are just 12 mins drive from Exits 22 or 23 on the M7 Dublin-Limerick motorway.

Babes Cottage

Our cottage is nestled in the beautiful Slieve Blooms mountains. This cottage boasts a traditional thatched roof surrounding by fantastic countryside. The cottage features two cozy bedrooms with comfortable beds and soft linens. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up hearty meals with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Warm up by the fireplace in the inviting living room, where you can curl up with a good book or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV.

CastleHouse - Self Catered House

"...a perfect central location if you want to travel to various areas within Ireland", Castle House features a unique 17th century tower and a 250 year old farmhouse incorporated into the fabric of a modern home creating a rather unorthodox layout, combining the traditional and the cutting edge in a beautiful, quaint setting. This listing is for the self-contained guest wing of our house, ensuring you complete privacy with sole use of the space and its amenities.

Bellefield House and Gardens

Bellefield House and Gardens is a unique home, situated in the heart of Ireland. Lovingly and tastefully restored by its former owner the renowned architect and garden designer Angela Jupe. Both house and gardens have been carefully upgraded while retaining their period charm. The house is situated down a private drive and guests will have exclusive access to the 2 acre walled garden and be able to stroll the 20 acres of grounds that surround the house.

Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety and caters for up to Six Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

Accommodation in Moneygall

We are happy to welcome you to stay at our bright comfortable self catering apartment conveniently located in the midlands. Situated 2 min from Exit 23 off the M7 Motorway on the outskirts of the village of Moneygall where the pub and shop are within walking distance. It provides a wonderful base for exploring the heart of the country while also allowing further journeys to some iconic tourist sites.

Midlands Ireland - County Tipperary - Peaceful and beautiful rural setting about 4km from the heritage town of Roscrea. Just off the Roscrea-Birr road with Birr 16km away. Scenic views of Orange Hill, plenty of wooded walks on our doorstep or for the hiker we are based at the foot of the Slieve Blooms. Kinnitty Castle 18km & Gloster House 5km away.
