Our place is great for folks who love the outdoors, music, small town charm. We are around the corner from a famous mountain bike trail. A 15-25 minute walk takes you from one end of our town to the other and includes an organic ice cream shop, a deluxe health food store, fab live music, brew pubs. Fairfax is a fun destination with boutiques, drop-in yoga, eclectic restaurants, and hundreds of cyclists touring through. Lots of hiking trails, too! Be aware: 10% hotel tax, 😞 Max stay: 6 days

A fairly secluded feel, surrounded by trees w/views of distant hills & easy access to both wonderful towns of Fairfax & San Anselmo. (3-5 min drive/25-30 min walk to either). Please do not order food to be delivered. Check in 6pm but can drop luggage after 12 noon, if arranged IF you are PICKY, please rent a HOTEL. Max weight for the bed is 300, please. Just bought a NEW MATTRESS in Nov. 2020. Separate keyed entrance and private bathroom w shower.

The unit has a fully equipped kitchen and everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It has a private entrance and fenced in patio for your enjoyment. Leave the car behind as grocery stores, cafes, parks, open space are just steps away.

Beautiful Studio on lower level of our family home within walking distance to downtown San Rafael. Custom kitchen and bathroom with shower. The outdoor patio area is just for guests and is a great spot to sit in the evenings. Although we recommend a car - we are close to bus and ferry routes to San Francisco. Perfectly situated for hiking, mountain biking or trips to Napa Valley. Strictly no pets because of host’s allergies. There are stairs from street to the entrance.

Roomy, private, comfortable apartment with separate living area and laundry. Walk to downtown San Rafael, Dominican University and local/regional transportation. Grab a ferry to San Francisco or direct to a Giants or Warriors game. Hop on 101 to Napa/Sonoma. Head to Muir Woods and the beaches—all less than 45 minutes away. Ideal for one person (will consider two on request, if sharing bed). Great for short- or longer-term stays.

Fairfax Getaway in the Redwoods

This lovely little private studio is located on the lower level of our 3-story home in a magical redwood grove in Fairfax, California. The unit has a cozy Murphy bed, kitchenette, dishwasher, and bathroom with a large shower. Enjoy a private outdoor deck and patio surrounded by redwoods. There are two sweet cats on the premises. They don’t hang out in the unit but they love to visit guests and may occasionally enter the unit.
