Eco Friendly Tented Camp in St Francis Bay

A secluded, secure tented camp located 5 minutes from St Francis Bay. One large and two smaller "Army" tents are nestled in between the indigenous bush overlooking a small pond. All the tents have lights and outlets powerful enough for small devices such as laptops and phones (note that high wattage appliances such as hairdryers will not work). The toilet and shower were designed in a way to incorporate nature into your stay. Remember that bushbuck roam the camp, no pets, and bring a torch!

Secluded Bell Tent @ Wonderwoods

Wonderwoods Private Nature Retreat offers a truly memorable stay in one of only three canvas Bell Tents scattered amongst scentful Eucalyptus trees, ferns and indigenous forest. Your 5m Bell Tent has a high quality extra length queen size bed with clean bedding and extra blankets. A few meters from your tent is your private compost toilet with clean water. Enjoy clean hot water in the amazing forest showers and a beautifully designed communal Forest Kitchen that is fully equipped.

A canvas wrapped cabin on a raised deck, with open views into the forest from your bed. This tranquil little spot comes with an attached outdoor shower, toilet and camp style kitchenette. Situated on forest edge, with walks into the forest and the centre to many attractions in the area. The outdoor seekers paradise! Make use of our clean and well equipped communal kitchen as well as braai areas, a bar, a plunge pool/hot tub. You also have access to the various forest bathrooms.

We have beautiful 5m bell tents placed in exquisite locations with lake, mountain and forest views. It is a luxury space with all the comforts. You can choose the beds that suit your sleeping arrangements. Wake up with the fish eagles as they patrol the lake at sunrise. Go on Nature walks, swim in the lake, go on an outride with horses and eat from the organic garden. Child friendly and a safe space to explore. Lose your head and come to your senses.

Peter's Rest, is situated 6.5km from the enchanting coastal town of Knysna. You’ll love my place because it is unique, self catering, un-serviced camping in 3 large well arranged and equipped tipi's, each with a private bathroom. My place is enjoyed by couples, families (with kids), and caters for up to 12 guests. (4 per tipi unit).
