Several bigger towns are only 10 -12 minutes away and you’ll be close to many popular attractions : Waimakariri Gorge, Castle hill, Arthur’s Pass , conservation areas, ski fields, lakes, waterfall walks & mountain bike tracks

Darfield: Homebush School Cottage

Homebush Cottage is part of the 130 year old former Homebush School, located on the Southern Scenic Route, 8kms from Darfield township and close to popular Skifields, Lakes and amazing tourist destinations, thus making us the perfect stopover. The cottage is set on 3 acres including beautiful rambling gardens and tennis court. The Cottage is super comfy and suitable for a couple. We provide a self catering breakfast including free range eggs from Brown Shavers so no need to worry about food !!

Entire unit Relaxing rural home away from home

Large open plan kitchen. Two Large rooms, one Queen size bed in a common area (which incorporates the kitchen) and the other a king size bed in a large spacious bedroom. This accommodation unit is situated on a working farm in the quietness of the countryside with all the comforts of home. Common room with queen bed, includes full kitchen, microwave, oven, fridge, fireplace, bathroom, television, and DVD player, Sky TV. A private garden is also part of the quiet countryside accommodation.

Castle Hill Studio

Castle Hill Studio has everything you need after a day exploring the nearby Ski fields, Craigieburn trails, Cave Stream, and Kura Tawhiti Rocks from your doorstep. Spacious, fully serviced, basement studio with its own private entry, with secure bike or ski storage by arrangement. A Black Diamond Mondo boulderign mat is available for our Bouldering guests to hire. While the studio is spacious, it is best suited to 2 people/ 1 couple. Young children can be accommodated by prior arrangement.

THE BIRD'S NEST - Secluded getaway!

The Birds Nest is a secluded and boutique cabin nestled amongst the tree tops and away from other houses. This luxury hideaway provides the peace and quiet of nature, whilst maintaining close proximity to all that the city and suburbs has to offer. Some highlights include relaxing in our private hot tub watching the sun set, strolls along the banks of the Heathcote river, and afternoon gelato just around the corner. Well appointed, self catering cottage in the Canterbury foothills. Set on our 10 acre lifestyle block with our three pet steers and very friendly chickens! Fast wifi! Wake up to mountain views and enjoy a coffee by the fire. Perfect for a peaceful getaway away in the country. Oxford's Dark Sky rating (only 6 in NZ) means we have amazing star gazing! Only 45 min to Castle Hill and Christchurch. Relax and unwind, feed the chickens, explore the forest, enjoy our little piece of paradise!

Just 6 km from Oxford, 18 mins from SH 73 and 50 mins from ChCh Airport, this cottage offers a serene retreat. Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Oxford and a brilliant night-time starscape. Nestled on a large, private farm near the foothills, you can unwind in peace and enjoy the company of some adorable animal visitors. Country Escape

My place is close to great views of the Southern Alps and away from the hustle and bustle of city living. It is a peaceful country escape. 10 mins to Darfield & 20 mins to Rolleston, and 30 mins to Christchurch or Christchurch airport. My place is good for couples and families (with kids). We are only a few minutes away from the hot air ballooning and an hour from the ski fields. The nearest golf course is only 5 mins down the road with several others available in the Selwyn district.
