Bain’s Beach cosy central retreat overlooks the harbour and natural urban beach in the historical and picturesque ‘sooth end’ of the quiet, quaint area of old Lerwick. Perfect for wild swimming with amazing sea-views of sea-going vessels, wildlife, seabirds, seals and occasional orcas! Close to high street shops, eateries, cinema, museum and coastal walks. Ideal retreat for annual Lerwick Up Helly Aa, Shetland Folk Festival, Shetland Wool Week and many local cultural, nature and music events.

Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Lodberries: (Old Norse, hladberg, a landing rock) were used as waterfront stores. A short walk from the town centre and harbour. Historic setting & unique layout, built into the sea. Fern Cottage is a beautiful, detached, 4 bedroom home, which was recently renovated to the highest standard. Enjoy uninterrupted sea views and spectacular sun sets overlooking Scalloway, Foula and outlying islands. This centrally-located house is ideally placed to explore the Shetland Isles with Scalloway within walking distance and Lerwick within a 10 minute drive. Relax watching the variety of wildlife from otters to orca's. This beautiful, ever changing view is one of Shetlands finest.

Mavine Cottage, Lerwick, Shetland

A cosy stone built cottage, circa 1800, in a superb location on the outskirts of Lerwick. Gorgeous sea view, with the Sands of Sound beach just down the road and great access to coastal walks. Easy walking distance to Tesco and the Clickimin Leisure Complex, with Lerwick town centre only 1.25 miles away. There's a well equipped kitchen with a pully for drying clothes and also a good size living room. Mavine Cottage is a great base from which to explore all Shetland has to offer.
