Heidi's Barn, Franschhoek

Situated on a small holding 5km outside Franschhoek, opposite the exquisite La Motte Wine Estate, Heidi’s Barn offers the perfect self-catering base from which to explore the Winelands. A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. The barn runs on mains power with solar back up for load shedding.

La Chataigne Wine Farm - Marron Cottage

A 2 bedroom self-catering cottage nestled along the river on La Chataigne Wine Farm, just 7km's outside of Franschhoek Town. The cottage has an open plan living area with a cosy lounge, fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms, and a front and back patio with a braai/bbq overlooking the river. This house is built directly above a secluded beach in Gordon's Bay. It has five majestic milkwood trees and an indigenous garden. The sea is often calm and the sandy beach is suitable for children. There are rock pools and cormorants and seals in the bay. The harbour and the village are within walking distance. The house sleeps four people, but only one bedroom is fully enclosed; the rest of the house is open plan. Louise will be there to welcome you on your arrival.
