On Strawberry Creek in Idyllwild's historic district, the Owl Pine Guest Cabin was built in 1922. It's the best of both worlds w/ plenty of nature (burbling creek, rock paths, trees, birds, mountain air, stars) + close to civilization (the property is near restaurants/shops). Native rock fireplace, hot tub, eclectic art, record collection/player, games, books, TV, Wifi, BBQ, fire pit hang deck. We have a chicken coop, happy to leave eggs at the cabin upon request. We are a 10 minute drive from the West entrance of Joshua Tree National park and a 5 minute drive to the downtown shops, cafes and galleries. Desert Wild is a place to unwind, relax and enjoy the slow pace of the desert. We invite you to cool off in our pool after hiking, soak in our bath and enjoy the cactus garden, or star gaze from our hot tub at night.

Escape to this recently refreshed midcentury cabin minutes from the village, slopes, trails and the lake, with all the high end amenities you need for a perfect mountain getaway. Start off with coffee on the front porch, watching squirrels and bunnies, spend the day swimming, skiing or hiking, come home and do some work on high speed wifi with an extra monitor before you grill, hit the hot tub, watch a movie on an extra deep couch, and crash onto a Heavenly mattress.
