Very quiet location with a welcome to overseas and New Zealand visitors. Families welcome but parents are asked to remember that although the road has little traffic, the property is not fenced. We have the greatest sea views, plenty of land and pelagic birds to spot with many simple and more challenging walks available, very like New Zealand used to be. Te Whare Poutama - Bluff's Art Deco Gem!

This Art Deco inspired home is a Bluff landmark. Built by the Arnett family in the 1940s, it is named "Poutama" after the Tītī Island where they went muttonbirding. The home has three bedrooms and an open plan lounge, dining-nook and kitchen. North facing, it offers sun-drenched views of Bluff's waterfront, especially from its large sunroom that contains one of two work spaces. A two minute walk to a well-stocked dairy, it is a great base from which to enjoy Bluff or visit Stewart Island.
