The Globe’s Flat

The Globe is a CAMRA Award winning, wet sales only, real ale & live music pub in the the medieval wool town of Clare. The flat is directly above & has it's own front door to stairs leading to kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster, bathroom with power shower, sitting room & 2 connected bedrooms. Dogs are welcome, but must be pre-booked. Expect noise from the pub whilst open! We shut at 10pm every day except Sunday when we have live music from 2pm - 5pm, then shut at 7pm.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful hideaway in the Suffolk countryside. The hamlet of Thorpe Morieux is just outside of the historic village of Lavenham (9 mins drive). Lavenham is often described as "England’s best preserved medieval town" (but really it's a village). Back in the medieval period it was among the twenty wealthiest settlements in England! Nowadays it offers a wealth of historical interest, delightful shops and galleries and a wide choice of places to eat and drink.

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).
