You can reach us on a 36 km stretch of scenic gravel road to come and enjoy the beauty and sounds of nature while staying in this unique off the grid place in the Kouga Baviaans mountain wilderness area. For winter the cottage is equipped with electric blankets, a gas heater as well as an indoor fireplace with a good supply of wood and more available to buy should you run out. An old, converted General Dealer and Postal Agency , built in the 1930's, recently renovated and turned into a two bedroom , two bathroom house with a large open plan living and kitchen space. It is situated on the Loerie River in the picturesque Gamtoos Vallei, only 22km from Jeffreys Bay. It is perfectly situated to explore the Baviaanskloof, the Addo National park and the incredibly beauty of the unspoilt Eastern Cape coastline.

The Tradesman

The Tradesman Shop is a quirky and historic unit with a beautiful courtyard and braai area. It is the last Tradesman shop that is still connected to the main house and dates from the 1850’s. It’s still has the original “brakdakkie”-ceiling so don’t get a fright when a piece of historic dust comes loose from the ceiling. The large courtyard at the back is a treat. Please note the unit operates on a gas geyser.
