Ymansdam Self Catering Cottage

Ymansdam is situated next to the Tankwa Karoo National Park at the foot of the Roggeveld Mountain, about an hour's drive from Calvinia on the R355. The fully equipped self-catering cottage is ideal for 2 people. The cottage has an en-suite shower, small kitchen and as well as a veranda with a fireplace and a splash pool. Guests can also choose a unique campsite that have ablution facilities. Visit Ymansdam and taste, experience and smell the lovely Karoo.

Sutherland Guest House

A typical Karoo stone house with old world charm. 4 Bedrooms, some with en-suite bathrooms and a self-catering unit inside the house completes the picture. All beds have electric blankets for our cold winter nights. There is also a fire place in the communial lounge. A lovely braai area which is partially covered against the weather. You can book the entire house for a group of family and friends. We do provide breakfast on request at an extra fee.

The Artist Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in town and is situated in the heart of picturesque village of Sutherland. This delightful cottage features classic-style architecture, complemented by modern enhancements that preserve its authentic character. Sleep 2 people in one bedroom. Fireplace in open plan living area. Wall panel heater in bedroom. Bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. Kitchenette with 3 burner gas plate, fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee machine. Outside sitting area/smoking area.

Rooikloof’s Koesnaatjie Cottage 1

The 4-sleeper has a room with a double bed, gas heater and shower-only bathroom. Guests need to bring bedding for the pull-out double sleeper couch. The kitchenette has a 2-plate stove, indoor braai and a Dover stove. The unit does not have electricity.
