Plum Cottage - charming tiny house near the beach

Inspired by the tiny house movement, the cottage packs a big punch. Constructed with native timbers, Plum Cottage integrates beautifully with the landscape. The cottage is privately nestled amongst the plum trees and gardens. Feel free to pick some tomatoes or a juicy plum! Summer sunsets are lovely. Located on the Tahunanui hillside with views to the distant mountains. It is an easy 1.3 km walk to the beach (15 min) or 5 min drive. CBD is 6km away (12/15 min drive). Bus stop is 13m walk.

Ruru Nest Property is next to a river and farmland, just a few minutes outside of the village of Karamea with its cafes and pubs. Local food, nature connection walks available as extras to complete your stay.

Karaka Studio on Manuka Island Nelson/Tasman

Karaka studio is on the very edge of the Waimea Inlet with water twenty metres from your front door. Lie in bed and watch the tide come in. We are a private estuary island (Manuka Island) but we have drive on access at all times, 25 minutes to Nelson and Motueka. Rabbit Island beach(4km) and Taste Nelson Cycle Trail is a km from our gate. We are central to vineyards, cafes, 3/4 hour to Abel Tasman National park. We have amazing sea, rural , and mountain views. Total privacy assured.

Romantic Getaway - The Caboose

Romantic Getaway. The Caboose is a handcrafted replica of a train carriage, with a small private garden. Set on a half acre property next to our historic farmhouse, centrally located at the outskirts of Motupipi, at the eastern side of Golden Bay, only 5 minutes drive from the beach and 5 minutes from Takaka township. The outdoor shower, bath and toilet are all in the private garden that can be accessed with stairs from the side of the balcony of The Caboose. Full cell phone coverage.

Our unique Flax Pod cabin is a repurposed shipping container with epic views of Golden Bay. It suits a relaxed couple, has a comfy queen bed, sofa and kitchenette. Large bi-folding doors open onto a deck where you can totally relax, enjoy a cold beer, and soak up the sea views. Its in a great location and a great base to explore Golden Bay from. Enjoy getting back to the basics, dozing in a hammock, a friendly weka or two and a spectacular night sky.

WELCOME to our Log Cabin in the city. A short stroll on the flat to Nelson CBD and Trafalgar Centre with supermarkets just down the street. The room has a comfortable Queen size bed, kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, Electric hot plate. Separate shower room. Private stand alone “log” cabin, with outside space. Te Whare o Kea provides simple shelter for trampers, bikers and other nature lovers. The location also makes it perfect for a retreat. A non profit social enterprise and a Gold Kea Sponsor, guest stays have enabled over $20,000 worth of donations to the Kea Conservation Trust. It also supports monitoring of kea nest sites in the Cobb Valley and maintains a 17 trap trapline.
