Take a 2-minute walk to the sandy beach at the end of the road, then a 10 minute leisurely stroll (or bike ride) along the promenade into Margate, taking in the sea air & listening to the waves crash. Birchington Station (10 mins walk) provides good links to London and nearby coastal retreats. There is a parade of shops with a convenience store, fish and chips, cafe and micro pub 2 mins away. The Minnis Bay Brasserie is a 5 min walk away along the promenade. There are great routes for walking/running/cycling in all directions.
