During the warmer months there’s boating and kayaking on The Meare and the village is home to The Dolphin Inn, The Kitchen and a popular café next to the Meare.

Meare cottage with boat and spectacular lake views

A spectacular bungalow on the banks of the Meare, in the seaside village of Thorpeness. The interior is modern and designed to make the most of the view, with one large open plan room, incorporating kitchen, dining room and sitting areas, all looking out onto the stunning lake. Three sets of folding doors open out onto a warm south-facing deck that spans the width of the house. The garden is large and you can explore the 60-acre Meare on the rowing boat from our private jetty.

Accommodation across two of the three rooms (a separate listing exists for all three rooms) each with king sized beds. Enjoy walks along the beach or easy access to the marsh and the beautiful river Alde embankment.
