2 person, pet friendly affordable stay near Acadia

This adorable cottage was completely renovated in 2022. On the first floor you'll enjoy a new kitchen with granite counter top, a deep two bay porcelain sink, glass top stove, microwave, toaster oven, medium sized fridge and all the cookware and utensils you will need for meals. There is large stand up shower a washer and dryer, and a cozy living room with wifi supported TV. Upstairs is a large bedroom with a queen bed. There is a small porch on the front and a fire ring our back. Pets allowed.

5 acres of lawns, gardens, and meadows and a gentle rocky beach on Blue Hill's Salt Pond, a protected inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. The house faces south towards the water and overlooks a gorgeous blueberry field that turns a majestic shade of deep red in the fall. Peace and quiet is what you’ll find, along with a gorgeous view. It’s a great place for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, grilling, fishing, and laying on the hammock. It’s close to several Acadia National Park access points (Long Pond and Echo Lake are both within a 5 minute drive). This home offers extra wide doorways accomodating those with mobility issues.

Bass Harbor headlight, Ship Harbor, Wonderland, and Seawall picnic area. Bar harbor is a 20 minute drive. Nearby is Archies lobster pound, Hansen’s seaside takeout (both walkable) and by car Thurstons lobster pound. And Seafood ketch. There are many other options in the neighboring town of Southwest Harbor.
