Forge Cottage

We have recently updated this cottage ---- with a new kitchen with a proper hob and oven, and also replaced all the windows and even the front door ! The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

High Pasture is a beautiful self-contained cottage, an ideal base for cyclists, walkers, city goers, golfers and those just wanting some peace and quiet to relax and unwind. In an idyllic setting on the Northumberland/Durham border with far reaching views. Extensively equipped kitchen incl. fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing m/c, microwave, coffee machine, toaster etc. We operate a "Contact-free" check-in and stay but we are close by if needed. Ideal for those wanting a longer stay.

We got a lot of walking and cycle routes right next tonthe cottage. Newcastle City and Durham City is about 15 minutes from the property. Our luxury cottages are perfectly placed for tranquility and adventure set in the beautiful countryside of North West Durham. Only 20 minutes drive will take you to the world heritage site of Durham City and 30 minutes into Newcastle, with the most welcoming of Geordie hospitality. Both cities are noted for their stunning architecture along with superb restaurants and traditional pubs. There are many local attractions for all ages within a good walk or a short drive.

This little oasis of green is in a super handy location on the edge of the greenbelt, yet near the Team Valley, Metrocentre and Newcastle. There's a bus stop directly outside, with buses into central Newcastle every 30min in the day. Watergate Forest Park is right next door, with a fantastic cafe, lake, swans & lots of other wildlife. We're only a couple of miles from the C2C cycle route, with easy access to lots of other cycle routes & walks.

Elmhurst holiday cottage in the Tyne Valley

Elmhurst - stylish, stone built, renovated, self catering holiday cottage in the village of Ovingham on the north bank of the River Tyne. The cottage sleeps four people comfortably in two double bedrooms. Ground floor - comprised of a dining kitchen with all necessary amenities and a living room with inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. South facing front garden and secluded gravel courtyard area with flower beds to the rear.

The Oaks

The Oaks is attached to our home. It has its own private entrance from the outside and internal doors are locked. It is an ensuite room set out like a hotel room. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS OUR FAMILY HOME AND IS NOT SUITED FOR A ROMANTIC/ PASSIONATE NIGHT AWAY BUT FOR GUESTS WANTING A PEACEFUL GETAWAY.. Wooden stairs lead up to this first floor bedroom that has its own decked area with outside furniture to enjoy the fantastic views.

The Gosforth Retreat

This self contained set up is ideal for those working in the area or for singles or couples wanting an overnight stay for a reasonable price in Newcastle. Located just off the A1 to the north of the city, it is situated in a quiet residential family area and has ample free street parking nearby. Consisting a large double bedroom, a kitchenette with basic cooking facilities and a large bathroom with bath and separate shower.

Despite its rural setting it is close to some excellent pubs and restaurants, and the market town of Hexham.
