Secluded cabin, 20 mins to Athens

Escape from the busy life and retreat to our cabin in the woods for a restful and rejuvenating stay. Our Goldfinch Cabin is the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub while star gazing and listening to all the sounds of the forest. The cabin is located on over 300 acres with hiking trails, a large pond, creeks, and rocky outcroppings to explore. Inside the cabin you will find a cozy living room, full kitchen, and very comfortable bedrooms. Welcome!

The Cottage

This is a rural location. Located on an open hill along a private drive, this newly built -"little house on the prairie"- is surrounded by fields on one end and woods on the other. The moon and lotsa stars at night -no neighbors nearby. Trails and ponds are available for your enjoyment. Swimming* and fishing is encouraged in the warmer months. A small outdoor fire ring is nearby. Hiking in the woods on the far side of the field will be off limits last week of October through thanksgiving.

Seven Oaks Cabin

I welcome you to Seven Oaks Cabin. It is a place of well-being for individuals who like to connect with nature while staying in a primitive cabin away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The interior consists of a variety of wood-eastern white pine, cedar and cherry. The living area has furniture made by local Amish, septic system for flush toilet, instant hot water, small bedroom with bunk bed (full mattress on bottom/ twin on top), efficiency kitchen, and loft with queen mattress.

Phoenix Farm Bunk House

This studio space has a private entrance and a private covered porch. The cabin has a full size bed and a futon as well as a fully equipped kitchenette. The cabin has WIFI. The bathroom has a small shower and a composting toilet. Towels, sheets and extra blankets are provided. This cabin is the only cabin on the property and is attached to a 40 acre horse farm with hiking trails, fun bird and wildlife watching. Close to Athens, the Hocking Hills, Lake Hope and Burr Oak State Park.

The Retreat at Fox Lake

The retreat at Fox Lake is a newly constructed 1+ bedroom house featuring a private back deck and hot tub! This home has a bedroom with a king-sized bed and an additional room with a fold-out futon. Features include eclectic art, reclaimed materials, glass enclosed gas fireplace, Starlink high speed wifi, on-site parking and direct access to Fox Lake and more! This is the perfect retreat for a couple, a few friends or small family. The vibe is earthy, textured, cozy and modern.

Yellow Dog Barndominium

Our brand new barndominium is a 10 minute drive from Ohio University, yet sits on a 100+ acres in the country. You will find it located near the front of the property, feet away from a 16 acre private water ski lake with beautiful sunset views. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing and swimming during their stay. We designed this as a couples retreat, including a 4 person hot tub, but a second bedroom with a full bed and twin trundle can accommodate friends or family who may join you.

Hocking Hills & Hunting Hideaway

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Come enjoy this cabin centrally located on 90 acres, sitting back on a beautiful stocked pond! Updated in 2021, this is a beautiful place to come and enjoy nature, with all the amenities. You can have breakfast on an upstairs balcony while watching ducks and wild game around the pond. The unique feeling of being tucked away in the hemlock trees just really sets the mood at this unique cabin.
