It is a unique character-house right in the middle of Icelandic nature with a spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and four bedrooms accommodating six to seven people. The rooms are all comfortably furnished and lovingly decorated with details that will let you delve into Icelandic culture and tradition. From every nook, you can experience a beautiful view over the hills and valleys of Eastern Iceland (the windows are a little old, but they will be modernized in the summer).

A great base for exploring East Iceland, including Borgarfjörður Eystri with hiking trails and puffins in summer. In winter, you may see the Northern Lights right outside. Surrounded by peaceful nature on the countryside of East Iceland these spacious and cozy cottages offer, for example, view over the Lagarfljot River and Dyrfjöll mountain. Around the place is a great wild-bird life over the summertime and here you can take a walk in the nature and enjoy some alone-time. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and a furnished terrace with BBQ. Egilsstadir town center is just 30 km away.

Hulduhlíð

Set in the quiet countryside of Eastern Iceland, this cottage is 7 minutes’ drive from the village of Vopnafjördur. It provides all neccessary facilites which guests should need to have. The open-plan, compact Ásbrandsstadir Cottage includes a seating area in which the living room and the sleeping area are built together. It's possible to create more privacy with screen panels which we store at the cottage.

Ásgarður - A cozy home by the seaside

Summer 2026: As our house is old we are constantly doing maintenance. This summer the maintenance has affected the garden so we are sorry to inform that it is not in perfect shape. Our home is old and quite small but very cozy. It is located by the seaside in our small village with a view over the fjord; the sea and the mountains. Please note our village is a bit out of the way of the Ring Road.

Hálsakot Lodge, near Egilsstaðir.

Nice country accommodation north of Egilsstaðir in East Iceland and has eight en-suite bedrooms in four cabins beside the main house. Big veranda with fireplace and new sauna house for our guests! Breakfast included but is self-service in the kitchen and guest are welcome to use all facilities. Wonderful view to the snow capped mountains of Dyrfjoll to the east.

Aftengdu þig algjörlega þegar þú sefur undir stjörnuhimni. Kjörinn viðkomustaður fyrir lengri dvalir fyrir þá sem vilja skoða nærsveitir ellegar taka dagsferðir. Eignin er staðsett við tjaldsvæði og í viðbyggingu er aðstöðuhúsið sem gestir í þessu rými geta nýtt líka, t.d. þvottavél með innbyggðum þurrkara.

Húsið er 34fm að stærð. Samanstendur af einu svefnherberi, baðherbergi og miðrými sem geymir eldhús og stofu. Góð verönd er við húsið með útigrilli. Gott útsýni á fallegt umhverfi.
