The main living area features 24' vaulted ceilings with large windows that feature stunning views of Skagit Bay. Come and dip your toes in!

The Captains Quarters at Sylvanrude is a step into a forest of Douglas Fir, Cedar, and Hemlock. The small apartment is above a garage, and is equipped with a coved ceiling bathroom, (tall folks beware) full kitchen, cozy sleeping area with a new queen bed on antique frame, TV with DVDs only, (wifi is through MIFI, a Verizon source), a private beach fire pit with beach access, and the most amazing sunsets over Case Inlet. If you are a bird watching enthusiast, don't forget the binoculars!

It is central to excellent Skagit Valley birding, scenery, tulips and out door adventure. Private cove for nature lovers; close to hip, historic Edison, restaurants, art galleries; central to Bellingham & Anacortes (30 min), Seattle & Vancouver, BC (90 min each), beautiful walks from your front door. Bright, beautiful studio with full kitchen, coffee bar, private bath and outdoor fire pit. Adjacent outdoor cedar sauna that we share with our guests in both units. Minutes from the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Note: We live upstairs in a totally separate part of the house and the studio is adjacent to another unit. We have soundproofed the house as well as we can, but there are normal noises that come with shared living. The studio has one queen sized bed. We don't accept children.

This is my personal home with 4 distinct and complete units. I live in a lower unit. There is a BBQ, cozy wood burning insert and a major close-up display of God's handiwork. Downtown Seattle is 26 miles away (times very). Snoqualmie skiing is 50 mins away & Crystal Mountain is 69 mins away.

Beautiful landscaping with a trout pond, large yard, in season berries on the bushes, produce in the garden, fresh eggs in the chicken coop and catch and release trout fishing.
