Indulge in the tranquility of The Carriage House. This lovingly updated space features an open-plan living area, contrasting textures and patterns, chic furnishings, kitchenette, and shared access to the lush backyard with a fire pit. Come and enjoy Texas sunshine through the gracious windows on all four walls of your private apartment. Please be assured that surfaces in this space are cleaned with CDC approved disinfectants. All towels and bed linens, including bed spreads and blankets are laundered between guests. Spray Lysol is available for your added convenience. Elegant and comfortable, the Carriage House is centrally located, right at Central Expressway and Mockingbird, excitingly close to all the fun restaurants, bars, shopping, theaters and museums in Dallas. You won't find a better place, either for comfort or location. In addition to the queen size bed, the couch folds out to accommodate another person. Everything you need for a visit, long or short, is available and handy. Arriving late for check-in? No problem, there's an electric lock on the door, so you can check yourself in, as late as you want. Newly remodeled, the Carriage House is on the second floor of a separate building behind our home. We live on the property, but work and play keeps us away for a part of the day. The property is located just a few blocks from SMU and some of the more popular entertainment areas in Dallas, including Greenville Avenue, Knox-Henderson, Mockingbird Station, Uptown, and Snyder Plaza. Come and enjoy being in the most walkable area of Dallas. The Grenada, for example, is only a few blocks away. No worries over parking or catching an Uber. You can walk there in 5 minutes. If you are flying into Dallas and don't want to rent a car, you can get to The Carriage House many different ways. DFW: The most economical way is to use the Orange Line on DART, accessed from Terminal A at DFW. Get off at Mockingbird Station. From there you can walk 15 minutes south to the Carriage House, OR take DART bus 24 Via McMillan. Stop at Morningside Ave. We are only steps from this corner. Love Field: You can also access the Orange Line on DART, however, you'll have to take the Love Link Dart bus to Inwood/Love Station. From there, the directions to the Carriage House are the same as above. Also, check out SuperShuttle, a shared ride service from either airport. As always, there are taxis, Uber and Lyft. I'm a traveler at heart, and although I get excited about planning my next adventure away from home, I think it's safe to say that Dallas is a wonderful vacation destination. We have some of the best food in the world, a proliferation of sports and music venues, great theatre and other entertainment events, a lively art scene and tremendous shopping! I love my city, come see us! Casstevens Homestead Farm House (Entire House)

Casstevens Homestead House located on 145 acres near Mansfield. great for long walks in the country, or a place to get away. This is a working farm with livestock. House is approximately 150 years old, dating back 5 generations. There are large back pastures for walking out in the country. Pets are welcome, but we do have Great Pyrenees on the farm to protect our chickens. They are very friendly but the will probably greet you at the door. We can stable your horses for riding on request.

Tiny House, Something Different!

“Eagle Nest” Tiny Home sits on a large lot with huge trees lots of privacy. Only 10 min or so from Arlington’s entertainment district. Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Sixflags, Water Park & Texas Live. Downtown Fort Worth is just a short drive away. Eagle Nest has a shower, toilet, microwave, coffee pot, Wi-Fi & smart TV with Cable. The loft has a twin bed, the couch also converts to a full bed. The outdoor area is very cozy with a private patio, chiminea and charcoal grill.

My cabin is a hidden gem in Urbandale, a neighborhood only 15 minutes from downtown that's filled with unique architecture, old trees, and multicultural flavor. Crafted from pine felled and hand-planed in Boone, NC, the cabin has a wonderful smell and unique aesthetic. It's like a woodcutter's home deep in the woods, yet sits safely in my verdant backyard.
