SUGARBIRD HOUSE EDENVELDT FARM

I have decided to rent out my personal farm house\ guest house to happy road trippers seeking solitude and a peaceful surrounding. The house is within a valley surrounded by 48 hectares of open land,beautiful mountain (cederberg) backdrops and a river with three natural swimming areas within walking distance of the guest house and the place include a 25m lap pool right in front of the veranda! Oh and plenty of clean breathable air :). There is one full sized bed so its best suited for couples.

Our Dome is beautifully designed for comfort, with the indulgent outdoor living space blending seamlessly with nature encouraging guests to reconnect, relax and rejuvenate. As much as we would love to welcome all, the setting isn't child friendly and definitely offers a more wonderful getaway for two.

Cape Point Mountain Getaway - Cottage

This is one of Cape Town's environmental and historic treasures. It is a candle-lit hideaway with stunning views of mountain and sea. The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

Ribbok

Ribbok is situated on a working farm in the Overberg Area. Surrounded by beautiful Renosterbos veld overlooking the Riviersonderend Mountains. Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but only 5 minutes to stunning beaches, 10 minutes from Plett , the Crags, Plett Winelands and a host of amazing wildlife places! With so much to keep you busy locally, it is a treat to come back to the Hideaway and feel away from it all!

We’ve chosen natural building materials like hemp walls, 100 year old recycled Oregon wood and handmade eco-paint to increase our connectivity to nature & tread lighter on our planet. Double glazed glass helps regulate. Overlooking our farm dam, with trees to rest under and the majestic Winterhoek mountains as a picturesque backdrop - our cottage is the perfect weekend getaway.

Heidi’s Barn, Franschhoek

Situated on a small holding 5km outside Franschhoek, opposite the exquisite La Motte Wine Estate, Heidi’s Barn offers the perfect self-catering base from which to explore the Winelands. A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. The barn runs on mains power with solar back up for load shedding.

Dassieshoek - Ou Skool

Situated in the mountains of Robertson, this double volume, beautifully restored Old School is a tranquil getaway for the whole family. There is a gorgeous eco pool and plenty of amenities for children. Located next to the Marloth Nature Reserve, the house is at the beginning of the Arangieskop Hiking Trail. Mountain biking, hiking, birding and river and dam access mean that there are plenty of outdoor activities for the whole family.
