Private: you cannot see another house from the front porch or back decks and it has thick woods all around. At the top of the property are soaring views with 3 miles of visibility. Grouseland's Pondside Vacation Cottage

Set about a quarter mile off the road, our pet friendly solar powered vacation cottage is a perfect getaway for anyone trying to spend some alone time with nature! Guests have complete privacy inside the cottage with a full kitchen, two TV's, Wi-Fi, and a mini split system for heating and cooling. As well as exclusive access to the hot tub, fire pit and pond outside! We also have various shared hiking trails through the woods surrounding the cottage for campers and cottage guests to enjoy!

The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

The aframe is completely off grid with solar energy and a wood-fired stove. Sleep in luxury with fine linens and a queen size bed, but spend your day splashing in the crystal clear creek and hiking through the forest. Enjoy your evening playing cornhole while dinner cooks on the grill, topped off with a favorite beverage around the campfire.

Double Spur Outfitters' Brook Cabin

Relax and reconnect with nature at Double Spur Outfitters' Brook Cabin. Nestled in the woods by Cedar Creek, this beautiful pine wood cabin is ideal for those wanting to take in the beauty of the area. The cabin has 1 separate bedroom with a queen bed, an upstairs loft with a queen and a full bed, and a downstairs bunk bed. Includes a large front porch facing the creek. The River House

A cozy, spacious and private get away with access to entire finished house. Located river front of the South Branch of the Potomac River, giving it the best view in the area. This cottage is also within 3 miles of C&O Canal, 17 miles from Historical Romney, 15 miles to Cumberland, MD and 10 miles to the Paw Paw, WV tunnel. 2 kayaks and 1 canoe available for river excursions. Come enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing or simply soak in all nature has to offer in the backyard.
