Nature’s & Pilgrims’ Rest at Red Bluff River Haven

A unique river retreat for relaxing and viewing wildlife. We are minutes from extensive trails and about an hour from Lassen Park. Our house has fragile and antique components and is not suited for pets, groups or children. If you are ok with quirky, imperfect, au natural and "wild" (possibility of snakes and spiders) we have your place! With windows along most of the east side, you will almost always have a view of the Sacramento River. This is not a cookie cutter house—please read listing.

As you turn onto Thatcher Mill you'll feel the comfort of this mountain retreat. Your tranquil drives ends at this 12 year old home that we call our cabin. It's well built and sits off the road a bit and invites you to relax and enjoy what the Lake McCumber /Mt Lassen community has to offer. The sounds of silence radiates through the trees and gives that sense of calm we all wish for in our daily lives. Once inside you find it a comfortable stay. Backyard is awesome! Stay another day!

Peaceful cozy cottage with fishing and access to Fall and Tule Rivers, launch included. On private 375 acre family cattle ranch. We raise cows, pigs, ducks, and chickens. Winter snow, Spring animal babies every place you look, summer swimming, fishing, boating fire pit, star gazing, Fall Harvest, fresh fruits and vegetables to share, we process our gardens by canning, preserving, and cook cook cook. In the winter, enjoy the snow play at Eskimo Hill or strap on your snowshoes and explore the winter landscapes around Manzanita Lake. Gas/grocery are only a few mins drive.
