Tickles Cottage was built in 1850 by the cornish miners and is adjacent to Peppertree Cottage in a beautiful Rural Setting. Cottages can be booked together or separately. Only 2 kms south of the historical township of Mintaro in the beautiful Clare Valley .Walking distance to Martindale Hall and Mintaro Maze. Mintaro has the best country pub for lunches or dinners. Historical Burra is only a half an hour to the mining town. Clare Valley has excellent wineries and the Reisling trail to explore

Located in a beautiful and lush garden with stunning views over Burra's golden hills, this is where you relax in a calm and stylish atmosphere. Our one bedroom accommodation sleeps a maximum of two people, has a well equipped kitchenette, a lounge/dining area, TV, Wi-Fi and AC. On the verandah, you can enjoy a glas of wine. We renovated the place to sell and love it that much we decided to keep it. Only a 5 minute walk away from the main street this place is in a great location. Locally owned by a young couple born and bred in Burra who literally live a stone throw away from the place shall you need anything during your stay.

Stables by the Vines

In 1856, an English stonemason, Thompson Priest, began mining slate in Mintaro. At the same time, he built a home with stables at the rear of his property. Over the intervening years, the stables fell into a desperate state, however, recently, the Stable has returned to life through a sensitive restoration and refurbishment. Set on the edge of Reillys Winery, the Stable is a 100m walk through the vines to the cellar door and further 20 metres to the renowned Magpie Stump Hotel.
