(all within 3 miles) We are central to Gettysburg and Hershey (30 miles), Harrisburg,Carlisle, Boiling Springs, Allen Berry Play house, the Appalachian Trail, and LeTort Spring Run! This in-law apartment is connected to the host's home, but with private entrance, and has everything you need to feel at home away from home. Beautiful quiet country setting but only 5 miles from turnpike and other major routes, as well as grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants and shopping. Midway between Gettysburg, Hershey, Harrisburg & Lancaster Amish country . Near Ski Roundtop, Messiah College, Naval Depot. Sightings of turkeys, deer and more in the back yard are not unusual.

Spruce Run Cottage, Farm stay on Catoctin Mountain

The cottage is located on 25 acres of mostly wooded terrain off Highway 17 near Wolfsville, Maryland, less than an hour and a half from D.C. The cottage faces the woods and the private drive down to the creek. There is almost zero light pollution at night so stargazing is incredible from the balcony. The hosts live on the property up the hill in an 1890’s chink log cabin. Although you can see our house, the cottage feels very private and is a quiet comfortable retreat in the hills.

Cozy Farmhouse Cottage

This cottage was once the washhouse for the adjoining 1790's farmhouse and has been recently renovated into a cozy retreat, overlooking the quiet fields and rolling mountains of Boiling Springs. The queen bed in the loft and double bed in the back room offers flexibility for a quick getaway or long-term stays. Head to the private deck for a meal and view of the sunset in the evening. Carlisle is just up the road and Harrisburg is only a 25-minute drive. Come and be refreshed.

Welcome, I am Debbie a busy Mama/Grandma with a bunch of millennial children (plus five grandchildren and 5 granddogs). I am excited to be able to offer my beautifully designed space close to Dickinson, the War College, Carlisle Fairgrounds, Appalachian Trail, Harrisburg and Gettysburg. You have your own off-street parking, private entrance and a large bedroom/sitting room with full private bathroom and a microwave/ mini-refrigerator for your convenience.
