La Cantera is a self-contained accommodation situated in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. Once a double-garage, it has been converted to offer our guests beautiful panoramic views, easy access to attractions in the surrounding area, privacy, relaxation, tranquillity, and a high-end interior with the added luxury of a hot tub and a log burner. This self-contained studio apartment, located on the beautiful Mon and Brec Canal, is an ideal base for exploring our stunning Welsh countryside. Nant Cottage

This charming, comfortable miner’s cottage is full of character, and perfectly located close to local amenities. It’s just a 10 minute walk to Aberdare town centre and train station, with excellent connections for exploring South Wales. Zip World, Pontneddfechan waterfall and Bike Park Wales are only a 10 minute drive, and the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park and Pen Y Fan is only a 30 minute drive. The property is an ideal base to explore and enjoy everything the region has to offer.

Lewys Tai Bach

20mins to Brecon Beacons, short journeys to the Zip world Tower, Bike Park Wales Merthyr and Aberdare downhill centre just a stone throw away. This memorable place is anything but ordinary. With kitchen living downstairs and the upstairs having more of a hotel set up with 2 double beds a pull out bed settee and a single bed with shower suite. It’s possible to sleep 3 couples and another. Ideally better to leave the settee as a settee for comfortable living and relaxing both upstairs and down.

Mountain View Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Set in the village of Treherbert in the upper Rhondda Valley in South Wales. A 30min drive from the Brecon Beacons and an hour by train from central Cardiff. Surrounded by beautiful Welsh hills, with miles of walking and cycling trails, the area is steeped in history and mining and musical culture. Zip World Tower, one of the longest in Europe is 10 min by car. We look forward to welcoming you as guests and showing you true Welsh hospitality.

Shepherd's Hut in Brecon Beacons

Escape to the Bannau Brychieniog / Brecon Beacons National Park and stay in our cosy shepherd's hut. The 'Bee Hive' hut is close to the village of Penderyn and next to Beili Helyg Farm. The hut has a double bed, kitchen & dining area with folding table, fridge & ice box, combi microwave oven, double induction hob and Belfast sink. There is a shower room with flushing toilet. Below the master bed is an alcove with a futon for a child to sleep comfortably. Decking, fire pit, BBQ, WiFi & TV.

Old Canal-Side Cottage Taff Trail Merthyr Tydfil

Cosy 2 bedroom cottage with quirky welsh touches. Situated right on the Taff Trail Abercanaid . Known locally as the Old Canalside. The Glamorgan Canal is no longer in use but the history remains. Bikepark Wales within 10 minutes walk. All you need for a relaxing stay whatever your plans. Lovely enclosed modern garden with secure bike storage. Smart/Now Tv Netflix. Edge of Brecon's Beacons, Zipworld Tower, Penyfan, mountain railway, & numerous walking trails & cycle paths. No pets accepted.

Llia Cysglyd

Llia Cysglyd is a beautifully appointed self contained annex. With a truly panoramic view out over the Brecon Beacons mountain range the accommodation is central for the whole South Wales region and an ideal base for walking,cycling,golf and mountain climbing .The Gower is an easy drive as is Brecon ,Cardiff and the Bay.There are many local attractions including the waterfalls at Pontneddfechan,Big pit ,Dan yr Ogof caves,Caerphilly Castle, Castell Coch and Bike Parc Wales to name just a few.

Hannah's Cottage, Great walks, Log Fire, Book It!

Our cosy cottage on the edge of Blaengarw village, in a valley surrounded by mountains, and small lakes. Amazing walking country on the doorstep with dramatic views, and we are dog-friendly (but sorry, no cats). Real fire, Netflix, DVDs & books for huddled nights in. Great cycling with riverside rides and mountain trails. Shop, pub & takeaway in the village. Designer outlet, Odeon cinema, nature reserves and castles all a short drive. And we live round the corner for any advice or help!

James' Place @ Brynawel - The Rafters

Flexible accommodation to suit your needs. At James' Place we can offer you either a double room or 2 fully equipped studios with the added benefit of your own kitchen. Expect quality affordable accommodation that suits you. Brynawel is a beautiful Victorian house next to Thomastown Park and has stunning views over the Merthyr valley. Brynawel is a very short walk to Merthyr Tydfil town centre, the train and bus station, but far enough away for you to have a peaceful retreat.
