To the rear of the cottage is the iconic 140 mile C2C cycle path, which can be walked & leads into the coastal town of Whitehaven. Ennerdale with its beautiful remote & deep glacial lake, is only 5 miles away.

The Carriage - A first class experience

Step back in time to this restored 1950's Pullman railway carriage, with the added luxury of 21st century amenities. The Carriage is set on tracks where the original line ran through Ullock on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, with the river Marron running below. Relive a unique journey with the addition of being able to step out onto the platform for sunbathing, breakfast or your evening meal then retire to the antique king sized bed with dressing room, ensuite and Eden toiletries.

The studio is within easy reach to Ennerdale Water (10 mins by car) and St Bees a lovely beach (15 mins). Lots of other walks nearby including the Wainwright C2C path and Longlands lake. Loweswater, Buttermere and Keswick are all within easy reach about 30 min drive.

Our 17th century farm workers cottage has been renovated to provide modern accommodation whilst keeping its traditional character. 20 mins walk from the village of Ennerdale Bridge, with 2 excellent pubs & a cafe. Many walks and cycle routes from the cottage doorstep. Situated very close to Ennerdale Water & the C2C and wainwright coast to coast routes. Easy access to western fells and solway coast.

The Barn is a beautifully refurbished retreat in a quiet corner of the Lake District National Park. Built in c.1870 as part of How Farm, The Barn is a very comfortable self-contained space which sleeps two adults and two children. It has a small garden, unique open living space incorporating the kitchen and lounge, lobby, shower room and large bedroom. The Barn is in a countryside location yet gives easy access to all the North West Lakes and the lesser known but very scenic West Coast.

Ideally situated for the Western Lakes, approx 10 minute drive to Ennerdale Water, 35 minutes to Loweswater with Crummock and Buttermere beyond. Just 15 minutes drive will give you access to the coastal area of St. Bees and the port town of Whitehaven. Parkside has views of the Dent fell to front and the C2C cycle path is situated directly to the rear.

Situated in Cleator village, on the edge of the lake district in the English County of Cumbria. Our mid terrace house is situated on a quiet street on the coast to coast route, providing the ideal sleepover for hikers and walkers.
