The Monastery | Unique farmhouse near Lucca

In the hillside hamlet of San Pietro a Marcigliano, a few minutes away from Lucca, nestles The Monastery, a charming holiday house with pool surrounded by olive groves and wine yards. The construction of the main building of the estate goes back to the 1550s. In more recent times it was converted to an elegant family home, maintaining the architectural integrity of the original building. In the proximities you will also see other ancient buildings that once were barns and houses for the workers.

Once a 19th-century horse stable, this Tuscan home was discovered by my mother : a Dutch artist and traveller, she moved here in search of beauty, nature and light. She stayed for twenty years. My brother and my daughter grew up running barefoot on these ancient terracotta floors. La piscina dispone di terrazza e pergola in legno, sedie a sdraio, e ombrelloni. Completa il tutto un arredamento toscano con pareti in pietra travi in castagno e pavimenti in cotto. Casa Melograno dispone di 2 camera matrimoniale, 1 divano letto sala-soggiorno con una cucina e 2 bagni.
