Great restaurants , or spend a day over in Solomons Island, about 20 miles from us. Peaceful settings for relaxing right on the water,or kayak on the river.

This is a spacious apartment above detached garage, with a roomy balcony. The property sits on the Rappahannock River- guests are welcome to use the beach and dock! Property has a private entrance. The bathroom which is located on the first floor. Apartment is up a flight of stairs above the garage. Plenty of parking. EV charger available. We have self check in and the host is extremely flexible.. We welcome all tenants! The Birds Nest is a perfect getaway destination for relaxing and fun.

Step back in time to enjoy a 1950s classic Northern Neck cottage on Gardner Creek with a large private yard and an expansive view of the Potomac River. In the fall and winter, soak up nearby colonial and American history, local wineries and breweries, often with live music, or get cozy in the cottage and watch the blue herons and eagles. Gather around the fire pit and make s'mores. On calm days you can still kayak. And the stars...oh the stars!

The "Cottage" is a cozy vacation rental that has an open floor plan that allows for easy hanging out or keeping an eye on the kids. The "Cottage" is not on the water, but is close to Solomons Island where you can enjoy their boardwalk & the view! The "Cottage" is close to history, lighthouses, crab and fishing charters and shark tooth hunting! Also nearby is the Calvert Marine Museum featuring live concerts by top name bands.
