August Rose Cottage is a very special studio style private entrance apartment in our personal home. It is located off of a private driveway with only 3 homes facing the sound. It's a true peaceful oasis with sound front access and sunsets that will amaze you! Full service kitchenette and laundry room. We have done our best to make you feel at home in our beach cottage. We are only a few houses away from the Pamlico Inn, minutes to multiple beach access points, restaurants, and groceries.

Come and enjoy old Avon Village on a quiet one way street. The Surfstead suite offers an eclectic blend of island history, craftsmanship and comfort in one of the oldest houses on Hatteras island. Our apartment is located on the first floor of our home, which is one of the only Solar Powered homes in the Outer Banks! Just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a short bike ride or drive to the sound, we have a perfect location which is close to everything. Our space includes the use of our outdoor shower and beach parking passes. We have a great yard for lounging, sun bathing or playing with dogs. Come and check out our "Cave" by the waves!

Our second master suite has just been remodeled for a fresh clean and inviting look. Suite is located on ground level with private entrance. Pool is located just off suite along with a outside shower. Parking is available for one vehicle. Owners live on premiss and we want to make your stay with us as enjoyable. We have bikes and outdoor grill. We have several churches near by and restaurants and beach within 10 min walk.

Pack your bags and join us on quiet Colington Island away from the hubbub of the main highway but still a short 10 minute drive to the Kill Devil Hills beach access with an abundance of restaurants and entertainment. Nestled under a 200+ year old Live Oak, enjoy a peaceful view of the wild life and water from your bedroom and dining area. You may even hear our great horned owl bidding you goodnight at dusk.
