Cooter's Cabin

Our cabin is perfect for your family's next getaway. Rick and I have owned this small retreat for 20 yrs. Our 3 kids and 12 grandchildren continue to enjoy it year-round. We decided to allow other families to join in and experience the blessings the cabin has to offer. Why Cooter's Cabin? Rick's nickname Cooter not the fact that American Coot's differ from other ducks in that they have lobed feet instead of webbed! It is do to a good ol' hunting story, how many nicknames are forged.

The Cottage at Church's Island

Take off your shoes and prepare to relax at this Currituck Sound front cottage! You can watch the sunrise over the sound revealing the Currituck Lighthouse in the distance and watch the sunset with egrets going back to their roost at Monkey Island. You can enjoy the rural vibes, but be close to the Outer Banks, Elizabeth City or Virginia Beach just 30-40 minutes away! Here you'll find a beautifully furnished cottage with everything you need to make a wonderful vacation!!!

Relax at our Corolla beach condo just a 5-minute walk (~0.3 mi) to Dolphin and Albacore beach accesses. Free public parking is nearby at Sailfish and Bonito accesses. Shops, restaurants and groceries are close. Enjoy a short drive to the Corolla and Carova 4x4 beaches, where you may spot the famous wild horses and visit landmarks like the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and historic Whalehead Club. Perfect for beach days, family fun and lasting Outer Banks memories.

Summer fun at Summer Salt!

Awesome off road getaway! You will need 4 Wheel Drive (not awd) vehicle to access the property as there are no roads. Newer construction on the beach in Carova right next to the wild horse preserve. You will likely see horses on a daily basis! Home has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with 3 deck areas to enjoy the ocean views, sunsets and breezes! Easy walk to the beach, parking passes included. New party deck with hot tub, grill, table, seating and string lights.
