Honister a great place to head off into the fells from as you get a head start with the altitude! The green slate from the Honister mines is highly sought after & forms the roof of Buckingham palace.

Fascinating company that do a variety of walks with the Lamas, trecking with Alpacas. Knowledgable, friendly and very engaging. A very different experience, and highly reccomended.
