Oakfield Park is 20 minutes from the country cottage. It is a beautiful spot for a walk around it’s lake, have a picnic & enjoy exploring the castle. It also has steam trains which are a lovely way to take in the beauty of the grounds.

Bundoran is a 45 minute drive from the country cottage. It is a coastal town with some amazing coastal walks. It is ireland surf capital & has 5 surf schools that provide everything you need to give it a go!
Bundoran also offers horse riding on its Tullan strand beach aswell as very well equipped kids adventure park. The town is of course also packed with amusement arcades

Why not book a tour of the lighthouse from one of their experienced tour guides & step back in time while climbing to the top of the tower to take in the spectacular views.
The drive to the lighthouse takes in some of the amazing Inishowen scenery along the wild Atlantic way and passes some of the best of Donegals beaches. The drive is a good way to spend a rainy day.

Derry is 35 minutes from the country cottage and has 2 fantastic shopping centres with all the big name shops. It’s a good way to spend a rainy day with so many great wee restaurants & cafes.

The town centre is in the shape of a diamond which has an open pedestrian area surrounded by shops and restaurants
