We love going to Coco’s, run by our friend Shelley, at the end of our street. It’s kid and dog friendly with a pool/table tennis table and lovely roof terrace. The menu is perfect for lunch and dinner and they serve good coffee and cake. They also serve take away pizzas and fish and chips. Non-members are very welcome.
Closed on Mondays. Just 100 metres from the house!

Dale Yacht Club
We love going to Coco’s, run by our friend Shelley, at the end of our street. It’s kid and dog friendly with a pool/table tennis table and lovely roof terrace. The menu is perfect for lunch and dinner and they serve good coffee and cake. They also serve take away pizzas and fish and chips. Non-members are very welcome.

In Dale we highly recommend the Griffin Inn for its extensive fish menu and numerous awards! It has a roof terrace overlooking the bay and is also the perfect spot for a drink at the end of the day on the harbour wall overlooking the water – the longest bar in Wales!

Our favourite beach, a ten minute drive or a beautiful two mile walk along the coastal path. It’s stunning! You will need to pay in cash for parking in the National Trust car park or the farmers field. Don’t forget to visit the fabulous Runwayskiln café when you visit.

St Brides is a beautiful little cove with crystal clear calm waters, popular with divers and swimmers. At high tide it is a pebble beach and at low tide it becomes sandy – there are lots of rock pools to explore. You can park close to the beach near to the church

We highly recommend a boat trip from Martin’s Haven, the little harbour at the end of the nearby Marloes peninsula. Boats go each day in the season to the magical islands of Skomer and Skokholm. These islands are famous for their wonderful bird life and have some of the richest wildlife in Britain - especially Skomer's enormous colony of puffins. The Wick on Skomer is a perfect place to sit and watch puffins in the early summer land and take off from their burrows in the ground.

West Dale Beach:A ten minute walk or five minute drive away is this stunning and unspoilt, dog friendly beach which is part of the Pembrokeshire National Park. It is a large sandy beach (check the tide times) with rock pools and surf. The cross currents are strong so we recommend that you do not go out of your depth if swimming as there are no life guards at this beach.
There are no facilities at the beach so take everything you need. Take beach games, buckets & spades, fishing nets for the rock pools, body boards, surf boards, food and drink or just a book. Matches and paper are a good idea as there is always lots of drift wood to build a fire.
GREAT SURFING: while being quite a small bay, it can pick up some massive swells because of its South West facing aspect. It works best on an incoming tide and tends to drop off at high tide as the bay becomes too deep and the waves break on the pebbles.
Walking directions: turn left out of our house and follow the one way road to the castle, continue straight on and up the gravel track past the castle (instead of following the road around). Don't follow the track left but go over the fence straight across the field (often with cows in it) and walk down the steps to the beach!
Driving Directions:
Go around the one way system and just before the church you will see a left hand turning, go up the lane and at the top you will see roadside parking for a few cars. There is a footpath down to the beach.

Dale
West Dale Beach:A ten minute walk or five minute drive away is this stunning and unspoilt, dog friendly beach which is part of the Pembrokeshire National Park. City/town information
