The Art Nouveau has produced some exceptional buildings for their imagination and creativity; two of the most beautiful ones are in Paris. First the Castel Bérenger, in the 16th arrondissement, known to be the founding construction of the Art Nouveau movement, then also the 29 avenue Rapp, also called Lavirotte Building, in the 7th arrondissement.

As all the royal squares, the Place de la Concorde knew many different names according to the political upheavals. First called Place Louis XV, it will become a symbol of the French Revolution as many people were guillotined there, including King Louis XVI and Queen Marie-Antoinette. This monumental square is one of the finest example of French classicism in the Age of Enlightenment. In the center, the statue of Louis XV was destroyed and replaced by the current obelisk offered by the Viceroy of Egypt in 1832. Located between the Champs-Elysées, the Tuileries Gardens, the Louvre and the Madeleine, Place de la Concorde and its surroundings are among the most beautiful areas of Paris.

The first attraction of this church is waiting for you up steps leading to the entrance. Just turn around and take a glance at the splendid panorama lying in front of you. You can see the rue Royale, the Place de la Concorde, the national assembly and finally the Invalides. You can then enter the church while admiring the bronze doors, sober but subtly decorated. Inside, you will discover a typical neoclassical architecture made of a single nave with three domes over wide arched bays.
