Lorretta Lynn's Ranch is a nice place to visit and is less than 1 hour away. It also offers 100 miles of hiking trails, a museum, horseback riding. They are also the home of the largest Amateur Motorcross. Clifton Marina which is 20 minutes way offers pontoon rentals if you like to enjoy a day out on the Kentucky Lake also known at the Tennessee River. Mousetail State Park offers fishing, swimming and hiking. They also have playgrounds. Lady's Finger Bluff is perfect for a small hike and has an amazing view at the top that overlooks the TN River and Busselltown Refuge. The Buffalo River the a beautiful river to float in a kayak or canoe. The 2 locations that I recommend are either Crazy Horse Canoe Rentals which also offers horseback riding. The other is The Buffalo River Resort.
