An amazing breakfast-oriented restaurant. As the name implies, Engine Company 3 restaurant is located in a restored fire station: old plank floors, exposed brick and red painted metal work. Great vibe. The restaurant serves locally sourced entrees with an international twist.

Glorioso's is everything you'd want in a specialty market. Italian meats, deli, cheeses, baked goods, dry goods, wine, spirits... and deli sandwiches and salads they make to order. The Italian desserts are amazing.
If you like the "Old World" style of market shopping, going to Glorioso's is a delicious step back in time, but they've kept it up so it doesn't feel like an anachronism. Truly outstanding!

The trail meanders more than 115 miles in and around the city of Milwaukee on a changing terrain of flat rural plains and hilly city streets. Nearly a quarter of the trail hugs the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan.

A block from our house you will find Caesar's Park, with an old concrete stairway leading down to the Milwaukee River. Here you'll find trails and a bridge, with oxidized steel handrails and sleek angled lamp posts. The park links condo country to the Brady Street neighborhood. Caesar’s Park is enjoyed by mountain bikers, dog walkers, fishermen, and runners. Warning -- you might come across the occasional drifter, and I wouldn't recommend going there after dark.

If you are in town on a Friday night, go to the fish fry -- it really is a special treat to enjoy this Milwaukee tradition at Lakefront Brewery... large shared tables, live polka bands and strangely for a brewery, (although perhaps not so strange in Milwaukee) quite family friendly.

A nice place to take kids.
