There are so many beautiful waterfalls and natural pools to swim in. There is hiking and physical activity involved. There are many guided tours available, some will take you to secret spots.

If you have time for a day trip away from San Juan, I highly recommend to book a snorkel boat trip that stops at Icacos and or Palomino Island. The boat tours launch from Fajardo, about an hour drive from San Juan. There are many providers available both on Airbnb and other travel booking sites like tripadvisor.
