Food Scene in Banff

International cuisine and 5 star meals exist...as does great local coffee and tea and sandwiches for a hike or people/animal watching downtown. Add adventure food to your memories of Banff! My past birthday meal was at a fondue restaurant on the main drag. Banff never disappoints.
Main Street has it all. Leave plenty of time to soak in the views, history, shops and good eats!

As a local it is hard to compare the 2. Both are mountain parks with diverse and many services, but oh, so different! Enjoy spending time in both K-country and Banff from The Third Sister condo. You can see both parks from the living room!

Walking or the bus are good options to avoid parking drama

Main street is closed during the summer and some winter weekends to vehicle traffic so that guests can enjoy all the shops, patios, art, and food downtown has to offer. This does mean that there is less parking downtown, my suggestion to all guests is to walk, bike or grab a taxi. There is even a bus stop right outside the condo. A reminder that all vehicles that will be going into Kananaskis Country and the Bow Valley will need to purchase a conservation pass. To enter Banff you will need a Banff National Park Pass.
