If you are not familiar with Guatemalan and Salvadoran baked goods, don't be intimidated by the lack of menu on the display case, you can't go wrong with the conchas and pineapple upside down cake.

Their gourmet sandwiches are my favorite, especially if you like pickled vegetables. There is also always a great vegetarian selection.

Best restaurant for Laotian food. Don't be afraid to be assertive and put your name on the wait list yourself.

Don’t miss the miniature steam trains - fun for kids and adults alike. In addition to all the great hiking trials there is also a carousel, Lake Anza that you can swim in, and a botanic garden.

Cozy dive bar with friendly clientele and bartenders. Drinks are inexpensive and there's usually a taco truck that serves great food parked in the parking lot.

Shopping

This is an iconic grocery store that is a great introduction to the Bay Area's diverse food culture. It is often busy but worth the trip to see all the various produce.

Sightseeing

This is the best (possibly most tiring) way to get to Coit Tower. The steps take you through backyards and after a lot of vertical climbing you arrive at the top with panoramic views of the City. If you’re lucky you will spot some of the parrots that have made the steps their home.

Lots to do and see here. Great views of San Francisco and access to the Bay Area Children’s Museum. Sausalito can get very crowded but it’s a very cute part of Marin worth visiting. Gateway to Mt. Tam and other Marin County beauties.
